I've seen and photographed many fruits of Fig trees but never have I seen any that are of this size i.e. the size of tennis ball except that the shape is slightly elongated. I found this fruit along the Canopy Walk in Kentridge Park. It was soft and the skin was cracked from the fall. I looked up at the tree above and was surprised to find so many fruits growing from a creeper on the branches of the tree. So where were the flowers? As in all figs, the flowers are inside the fruit. Further down the trail towards Hort Park, I found more fruits on the ground. That was the highlight of an ordinary walk.
