Silky Hortpark flowers

I tweaked the colours because somehow my camera did not seem to pick up the colours that I had perceived. I keep photographing these flowers, always in the same spot, always there to welcome me with its presence. One day I will paint them all in various presenations as I have seen and recorded them on camera.

Hortpark flower - Afgekia sericea

This flower was captivating in its youth. That was more than a week ago. Today it is probably gone from the face of the earth and the green grass is poorer without such a companion. At least, I still have these images to call upon each time I want to remember the moment delight when I came across this flower.
