Flowering trees along East Coast Park

Look out for the blossoming trumpet trees decked out in pink and white flowers. They are just beginning to flower and if the weather is easy on these trees, we should be able to enjoy their spectacular flowering for a few days wherever we may find them.

Common Name: Pink Poui, Rosy Trumpet Tree
Origin : Tropical America

Tabebuia pallida
Family: Bignoniaceae
Common name: White trumpet tree



This Saraca tree in East Coast Park is doing well.

Saraca Cauliflora/Thaipingensis

Family: Leguminosae

Common name: Yellow Saraca

Origin: Indo-China, Java, Malay Peninsula






This is the first time I get to see the fruits of this tree.

Family: Boranginaceae
Common name: Geiger tree
Origin: Caribbean and Central America
