Durio ziberthinus - Durian Tree

I was right about making haste in taking the photos of the durian tree flowers that I spotted two days ago. The next morning, most of the flowers were gone.

The grass below was strewn with the remains of fallen flowers, broken into parts, a sharp contrast from how they had looked when they were whole on the tree. Most of the bunches were mixtures of unopened buds and new fruits.

A few flowers held on for a few more hours before they, too, succumbed to their fate.

Miraculously, when evening approached the tree came alive again with new flowers gracing its intricate arms.

And in the morning again, these flowers were no more.
Photos in this post were taken with the Canon EOS 400 D using a zoom lens.
