Cassia alata - Seven Candlesticks

I usually see these in open spaces growing wild. The first time I saw it grown within the compound of a house was some years ago. I found out that the house belonged to a Chinese physician. Recently I saw this shrub growing by the road in a housing estate. It must have been planted by the owner of the house next to it. I read that this plant is considered a weed but it has medicinal properties.
