Pachystachys spicata - Cardinal's guard

I wonder what would happen to me if flowers were like:
magnets (zonk!)
glue (glug!)
durians (ouch!)
Just random thoughts to occupy time before I find time to get the name of this flower that originates in Tropical South America.
