Bougainvillea

When the Bougainvilleas bloom, it almost feels like a Cherry Blossom event. The hotter the weather, the brighter the sun shines, the lovelier the floral display. We all know what bougainvillea blooms look like. These are the ones we see often enough.
Now, for the first time, I came across bougainvilleas that seemed to have discovered a new way of blooming. Here they are neatly planted in the Bougainvillea Park along East Coast Park.

Dear Mable,

Thank u for sharing these beautiful pictures and thoughts about Bougainvillea..:)
I see them everyday in life but never pay any attention at all. Perharps busy lifestyle already made me less affection over the years.
What lead me to your blog is through searching the word "Bougainvillea", which i've just learn about the name from Katong Florist 1 week ago. I was there looking for plants with big leaves that can help me block some wind and dust from the common corridoor, and bring some 'life' to the door step at the same time. How amazing these flowers can comes in so many types and colours..and they are expensive to buy as poted in the florist garden..then i started to look around and see if there's anyone really know how to grow these plant around my neighbourhood..
I think you've somehow help me into liking it more, and curious to learn more of these beautiful flowers which have been there blooming since i was young at this piece of land where i grow and built my home with my family..

Be Bless always.:)

Dear Angellin,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the bougainvillea and for your kind comments on my pictures.

It is always a pleasure for me to share my photos of flowers on this blog. They are not artistic works of art but just how I live my life through my admiration for nature, even it it is just a tiny part of it.

Cheers,

Mable
