Tembusu tree flowers

When I stepped into the park, I could smell a fragrance in the air. At first, I did not pay much attention to it. As the fragrance got stronger and stronger, I became curious and wondered about where the fragrance came from. Then I realised that the foliage of the trees around me were covered with many small flowers. Some were on the ground too. Yes, I understood at last. The tembusu trees in the park were having a celebration of life. Wonderful!

Excellent pictures. I've not seen tembusu trees flowering like these. In Kuching there are lots of tembusu trees that were planted ages ago. Nowadays they are hardly planted.

Fantastic for making an effort to write your post in mandarin.

Thank you both for your kind comments.

Mahmud - We also have many Tembusu trees in Kentridge Park but the ones in MacRitchie are older and much taller. Perhaps that is why their flowering is more stupendous.

Alice - The only way to learn is by doing and doing can only be sustained as long as there is motivation that comes from within. Thank you for your encouragement, I will continue to persevere.
