Delonix regia - Flame Tree

A few weeks ago I saw brilliant red flowers on this tree in the Singapore Botanic Gardens.


Yesterday, I shot them from below using a Canon 100mm macro lens without flash for most of the shots in the fading light. Not fantastic results for such an expensive lens. Maybe I need time to play around with it more often. However, I thought these shots look pretty interesting, more like a drawing or a painting.

You are right about it looking like a painting. I think it looked like a front cover of a book. Beautiful.

Nature is beautiful and I happened to be there to record it. Hmm, maybe I should write a book with that as the cover heheh...
